Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 材料科學與製造研究所 === 92 === Abstract This investigation is based on the preparation of colloidal fine oxide particles of platinum and ruthenium in nano-scale from a mixed salt solution of the metals, followed by reduction with hydrogen bubbling. These catalysts were prepared in different Pt-Ru ratios and different processes. After characterization of these unsupported Pt-RuOX catalysts in their compositions and morphology, their catalytic activities toward methanol oxidation are measured and compared with the commercially available Pt-Ru catalyst. The results show that the in—house prepared unsupported catalyst in Pt-Ru ratio 1:1 has a good performance. The catalyst with the reduction of Ru before Pt is the best one in this study. This catalyst shows a higher performance than the commercially available Pt-Ru catalyst.
