Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 建築及都市計畫研究所 === 92 === In recent years, the technology makes more and more progress, the optical fiber has the advantages of small volume, light, and the characteristic of resisting bad environment; thus compared to the traditional sensors, they are more adequate for the building structural monitoring. However, optical fiber layouts would bend because of the building’s structures are so complicated; also, owing to the limitation of optical fiber’s characteristic, it might cause the signals transmission loss. So, in the study, the experiments of allowable radius were made under laying out the optical fiber. Testing two angles: 90, 180 degrees to find the different responses. In the end, we could get the results: when laying out the optical fiber, the smaller the curved radius is; the bigger the signal loss is. Consequently, to infer from the experiments, if we could sustain the optical fiber layouts radiuses of 90 degrees curved angle more than 194 times, 180 degrees curved angle more than 556 times the optical fiber diameter; the signal would be no lost; in practice, it would be suggested and more suitable to keep the optical fiber layouts curved radiuses of 90, 180 degrees more than 300 and 900 times the optical fiber diameter separately.
