Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 運動教練研究所 === 92 === The purpose of this study is to examine the interrelation of elite Taekwondo athletes’ perceived coaching leadership behaviors and satisfaction to provide coaches and athletes the results as references and suggestions on the training programs and strategies that may enhance Taekwondo athletes’ psychological skills and motor performance. Subjects were Taekwondo athletes of 2003 National Games. The study was conducted by questionnaire survey including two instruments: “elite Taekwondo athletes’ perceptions of coaches’ leadership scale” and “athletes’ satisfaction scale”. 250 questionnaires were mailed, whereas 236 were returned in valid with effective return rate of 94%. The results are as follows: 1.In five aspects of athletes’ perceived leadership behaviors, elite Taekwondo athletes tend to prefer “training and instruction behavior”, “consideration behavior”, “democratic behavior” and “rewarding behavior” in order, and not prefer “autocratic behavior”. In the aspect of elite Taekwondo that training frequency with 1 day, 4-5 days and 6 days per week, they prefer “autocratic behavior” in comparison with 2-3 days per week. The other parameters such as gender, age, weight classifications, competition years, competition achievements and the time with coaches show no significant difference. . 2.In the aspects of athletes’ satisfaction, they prefer with “ leadership behavior” then “competitive achievement” and it shows significant difference in the items of age and competitive achievement. The other parameters such as gender, weight classifications, training days, training duration (years), and time with coaches’ show no significant difference. 3.There are two significant factors between elite Taekwondo athletes’ satisfaction and perceived coaching leadership, which reach the significant levels. 4.The results of using perceived leadership behavior to predict leadership satisfaction and sport performance are: “consideration behavior” and “autocratic behavior” are effective predictors of leadership satisfaction; “democratic behavior” and “training and instruction behavior” are effective predictors of sport performance.
