Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 應用化學研究所 === 92 === The formation of the structure of water-based Polyurethane(core)/ Acrylic(shell) blend resin made by the variation of methylmethacrylate concentration has been demonstrated by IR spectra. The experimental results show that the surface tension of water-based Polyurethane(core)/ Acrylic(shell) blend resin in aquous solution appears to decrease with increasing concentration of methylmethacrylate, as a result of increased hydrophobics adsorbed at the surface of water. As for the gloss of the film made by water-based Polyurethane(core)/Acrylic(shell) blend resin decreasees with increasing concentration of methylmethacrylate, this is because the arrangement of the molecules on the surface of the film becomes less ordered. In aqueous solution, both viscosities and average particle sizes of water-based Polyurethane(core)/Acrylic(shell) blend resin are seen to increase with increasing concentration of methylmethacrylate, as a result of increased free volume resulting from increasing intermolecular interaction between blend resin molecules themselves and between blend resin molecule and water molecule as well.
Experimental results also indicate that both tensile strength and modulus of the film made by water-based Polyurethane(core)/Acrylic (shell) blend resin appear to increase with an increase of methylmethacrylate concentration. This is because increased intermolecular interaction between water-based Polyurethane(core)/ Acrylic(shell) blend resin molecules themselves may make the crosslinking capability of water-based Polyurethane(core)/Acrylic(shell) blend resin become stronger.
