As Taiwan’s military avionics maintenance industry is a maiden land for the subject research, this paper attempts to utilize it to explore and establish the subject case study. It is hoped that this study will prove beneficial to Taiwan’s academics, industry and government as well. The analysis unit of this study is derived from firm level to observe by joining different alliances how networking location, resource advantage, and networking position strategy of individual company influence one another. Therefore, the purposes of this study are: 1.To understand the relationship between networking location and resource advantage of individual company. 2.To understand the relationship between networking location and networking position strategy of individual company. 3.To understand the relationship between resource advantage and networking position strategy of individual company. The data collected for this study include primary and secondary information. The Primary information is collected through focus group discussions and in-depth interviews, topics of which are based on the three dimensions (or elements) of the study structure. The secondary information contains relevant reports on newspapers, magazines, presentation and supplementary information from published brochures. Taiwan’s military avionics maintenance industry is still in its early development, not only the documents are difficult to access due to confidentiality, academic study reports and papers are also hard to find. As this is a brand new field to the better part of the industry, it is almost impossible to find qualified study samples except the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation and Asia Microwave Technology Company. This study adopts an exploratory research method to understand the current status of Taiwan’s military avionics maintenance industry and to induct into propositions, it is not about proving the existence of hypothesis or theory as the ultimate objective. The Systematic induction and analysis lead to the following results: (I)From theoretical viewpoint: Three propositions are inducted. (1)For networking position, one that holds the central position has better resource advantages than those on the margin. (2)Different networking positions will have influences on networking position strategies. (3)Resource advantages affect networking position strategies. (II)From empirical viewpoint: By analyzing and comparing the influences that different networking positions have on resource advantages, and resource advantages on networking position strategies, we find that companies that are positioned in the center or on the margin hold different strategy advantages which can be applied for practical use and for government references. 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 92 === In many a research in strategy management, either theoretical or empirical, one seldom finds studies that address the relationship between networking location, resource advantage, and networking position strategy at the same time.
Therefore, the purposes of this study are:
1.To understand the relationship between networking location and resource advantage of individual company.
The Systematic induction and analysis lead to the following results:
(I)From theoretical viewpoint:
Three propositions are inducted.
(1)For networking position, one that holds the central position has better resource advantages than those on the margin.
(2)Different networking positions will have influences on networking position strategies.
(3)Resource advantages affect networking position strategies.
(II)From empirical viewpoint:
By analyzing and comparing the influences that different networking positions have on resource advantages, and resource advantages on networking position strategies, we find that companies that are positioned in the center or on the margin hold different strategy advantages which can be applied for practical use and for government references.
