In order to reduce the transportation cost, enforce the operation efficiency and logistic performance, enterprises require subcontracting their logistical tasks to a professional company, the Distribution Center to increase their competitive advantages. In logistics industry, transportation cost account for 40% of the total operating costs, therefore, how to minimizing transportation costs is an very important issue in this business. In general, the issue of the vehicles dispatch problem in a distribution center usually started with Vehicle Routing Problem. Essentially the Distribution Center probably uses the outside carrier who operates on an individual service contract basis for direct service of locations. The salary of the outside carrier related to demands and the number of demanded points, therefore the Distribution Center must to keep salary justice.
This research extends Vehicle Routing Problem with salary justice to solve vehicles dispatch problem, we formulate two models for enterprise aspect and driver aspect. Furthermore, heuristic model are developed for these two models, respectively. The computation results of test problems show that the heuristic model can efficiently solve our problem and can be obtained salary justice.
