The most important influence to people is the exciting of visual. It leads our thinking to the whole environment, than bring our perception and preference of landscape. The visual simulation is the general way of landscape evaluation. And the different visual simulation gave people different visual perception. Therefore, the people’s perception of the different visual simulation is an important and worthy discussion. This study was depended on the theory of Sheppard (1989). He proposed that the good simulation should have some principles: representativeness, accuracy, visual clarity and interest. The purpose is to study the relationship of perception and preference of the visual simulation. This study was designed the simulation that the people walk through the park and see the view. This article contains four simulation media: photomontages, the edited video, the three-dimensional animation and the video of physical model. The subject of this study is the public art in the urban public space. There are sixteen parts short films and the total is eight minute. The 291 responses were sampled from college students majoring in environmental design and unclassified (not majoring in environmental design) student. The objective of this study is to compare the diversity of perception between the profession and non-profession by seeing the simulation video. The objectives of this study are to discuss the difference between the dynamic and Static simulation. And this study are to discuss the factor which to change the perception. The purpose of this thesis is to study: (1) the influence of the perception and preference by difference kinds of simulation, public art and the viewer. (2) the influence of the perception and preference by difference kinds of simulation , public art and the familiar of computer graphic. (3) the relationship between the perception and preference. The perception contains the representativeness, accuracy, visual clarity and the interest. The result showed that the affect of the mode of simulation and the type of public art to the viewer’s visual clarity. There are variations between two kinds of viewer in the viewer’s preference. By using the multiple regression, and the result showed that the simulation more interesting, the viewer will more prefer it. The visual simulation let the viewer saw the image after the structure. It provided the opportunity of viewer to have a vision of place. And it gave a judgment to the change. There are advantage and defect between simulation media, and the viewer can obtain the different information of environment. Therefore, we should choose the suitable visual simulation media in the landscape evaluation. Jing-Shoung Hou 侯錦雄 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 98 zh-TW |

This study was designed the simulation that the people walk through the park and see the view.
