Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北醫學大學 === 護理學系 === 92 === The aims of the cross-sectional study were to compare the experiences of dysmenorrhea and the impacts on the quality of life (QOL) in women with endometriosis and adenomyosis. A total of 155 women were recruited. Study subjects were classified into 3 groups based on their diseases status: stage I and II endometriosis (n=20), stage III and IV endometriosis (n=80), and adenomyosis (n=55). The descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlations, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The results showed that (1) women with adenomyosis had significantly higher levels affective pain, total pain intensity and longer pain duration, days duration of dysmenorrhea, and years duration of dysmenorrhea than women with endometriosis and adenomyosis; (2) women with adenomyosis perceived higher impacts on overall QOL and the five sub-dimensions of QOL thanwomen with endometriosis; (3) the affective aspect of pain, total pain intensity, number of pain site and age could positively predict the overall QOL and could explain 35.5% variance of total QOL. The findings suggest that dysmenorrhea is still a critical problem to women with endomentriosis and adenomyosis. Health care providers should put more attention on this issue and to enhance their life quality.
