Its resolution and accuracy decide the system''s efficiency, correction, and reaction. This thesis is to research how to provide the high accuracy and the high resolution''s timer to the operating systems and application software on the Real Time OS. The purpose of this is to reduce the happening of event or the jitter of reaction. This thesis proposes system architecture of Hardware-Based Timer Manger. That is, all related to time service inside operating system will off-load to external hardware unit in order to improve the efficiency of system and to improve system''s time skew, time drift and tick resolution.
