It was utilized the internal relationship among the plant, soil and the microorganisms in the land treatment system to purify the polluted water and its advantage are the low-cost of maintenance and investment, widely uses, economized energy, and to increase the functions of hydrophilic education and landscape; especially, in a city lacking green fields. This LTS including a whole water system in the school campus, which was irrigation canal through campus originally, that it was made up by aeration ladder, oxidation pond, stand pond and flood irrigation area. These modules are applied to construct the land treatment system in this research. Wastewater goes through the hillside field and moves to the area of flood irrigation. This hillside field is designed as footsteps to help water staying longer. The base of the hillside field is established by waste mud and rocks, which come from ruins in the 921 earth quake. Above it, there are pebbles that increased the habitat of creatures, and help the permeable of water. The length of the land treatment system in this research is 60 m (up side); the width (left side), 22.7m; the total measure of area, about 120 m3/d and hydraulic loading is about 0.1m3/d/m2, and the polluted water flows all the time. In the open area, animals and plants can move into freely. Without human interference, there are more than 19 family and 62 species of plants existing at the present time. The main purpose of this research is to measure diverse change of plants, and observe the plants of growth and decline under naturally to influence on water treatment efficiency. The research results show getting rid of the trend of growing with the plant and having certain relations of nutrients. The best period getting rid of the phosphorus is at the time of blooming of every advantage plant. The removal of nitrogen is positively related to the tendency to the plant photosynthesis efficiency. The removal of organic compounds is unstable in the flood irrigation area and has less relation with plant, but it has better removal effect in the pretreated oxidation pond. The result of the research can be a reference to other researchers, while they constructing new land treatment systems in other topics.
