Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 文化資產維護系碩士班 === 92 === Abstract This study is to analyze the substantial spatial tranformation of the cities close to the ports and its pertinent elements in earlier Taiwan. Basing on the case study of Yan-shui Gong of Tainan Hsien, the essence and influential factors of the city street spatial transformation and development over a long period of time are cautiously studied and analyzed. This article depicts the transformation and change of the city from three stages divided by its developing process, which are Ching Dynasty port time, Japan-governed country city time and after-war border city time. The city street spatial transformation and development are sketched from three aspects, i.e. administration、business and transportation. This study also illustrates the villages space patterns of those three stages through interview、literature review and data collection and analysis. Chapter One:study motivation and objectives, relevant studies review, analysing method and analysis scopes in terms of time and space. Chapter Two:The village transformation and developing process of the Ching Dynasty Yan-shui Gong are stated here. Analyzing from such aspects of administration、military、transportation、business and so on, it is tried to reestablish the city streets and village styles and patterns of the Yan-shui Gong. Chapter Three:During the Japan-governed time, the spatial transformation and development of Yan-shui Gong were influenced and controlled by the Japanese government and, thus, steered into sugar manufacturers、railroad transportation and railway construction. The Japanese government has transformed this city from traditional port city into planned city to accord with its governing and colonial profits. Chapter four:After-war, Yan-shui Gong was changed to meet the transition caused by economic and transportation development. The whole Tainan Hsien was transformed from an agricultural city to industrial production center. Basing on the fact that Hsin-ing was inferior than Yung-kang while Yan-shui was inferior than Yung-kang geographically, plus the sugar production was halted and sagging, the city street spaces shrank toward its city center and the development focus has shifted to main transportation spots located nearby. Chapter five:summary and further study recommendation. Key words:Yan-Shui-Gong、city street、spatial transformation
