Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 92 === In 2000, the printed circuit board (PCB) industry in Taiwan reached to the full tide. With the climate of changing industrial prosperity, and more and more world-class factories emerging in China, Taiwanese PCB manufacturers one after another, have to set up their production plants in China, attempting to solve their problems such as trend of product versatileness, increase of labor costs, and shortening of working hours. Facing globalize competition, what could the PCB operators live on? And what is their edge on business rivals? With these problematic concerns, this thesis has integrated current literature relating global logistics, grasping thoroughly the essence and core concepts of global logistics. In addition, in-depth basic analysis of the industry applying to the future industrial development, the thesis puts forth the survival value created by the business sector in the application of global logistics, illustrating the important developing strategies and directions, as well as modes of global logistics, of Taiwanese PCB industry, hoping that the current survival crisis can be transformed into future opportunity. It is also hopeful that some useful experiences in this research can serve as reference for other industries in the modes and thinking of global logistics. The aim of this research is to explore the order-taking strategies and orientation in Taiwanese PCB sector in the perspective of global logistics; and furthermore, to make planning of production in strategy, structure and contents among the plants in Taiwan, plants in China and contracted manufacturers to seek their respective strength of production for orders, and then their own production technology can be therefore promoted and make progress. According to such analysis, the research has set up a mode of thinking in a decision-making for global logistics in Taiwanese PCB sector. The research brings up with several strategic suggestions that are 1.to give specific directions for the company’s strategy; 2.to enhance the order-taking capacity of the company; and 3.to reduce continuingly costs and keep high flexibility in dealing with emergency. At last, to deal with the macroscopic control in China, which may bring impacts on global industries, the research brings up several issues worth further studying.
