However it’s difficult to use the Petri Nets (PN)for the direct modeling of complex systems because of its lack of flexibility. Although researchers have addressed two methods using PN named “Top-down” or ”Bottom-up” cited in the review of literature, none of those methods have been able to set up directly an accurate model. For the above reasons, we propose a new modeling scheme that based on “Message Sequence Charts”(MSC). Following this topic, the main purpose in our research includes:(1)First, to set up all MSC of processing and communicating flow in FMS and then to find the relation of mapping to the PN model; finally, check and analyze its properties. (2)We want to create an emulator environment to check the PN model and make the implementation to the real FMS. After our research, the following results are reported below:(1)The mapping relationship between the PN and MSC models can be defined, additionally a convertible rule for these models can be constructed.(2)By using MSC model, the processing and communicating flows etween the controller and emulator can be fully elaborated. (3)Finally, we converted the MSC into a PN model and by our emulator and the “CPN Tool”, the major proposition of our research was confirmed, i.e., emulator did exactly what we postulated it would do.
