Summary:碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 電子工程研究所 === 93 === The study in this thesis is mainly researching on the design of the FMCW detector operating in x-band by simulation, and applying on detecting the low dielectric constant of the liquid. We use HFSS software to separately simulate the characteristics of electromagnetic radiate components where are waveguides, polarizers, couplers and antennas. After analyzing and collating, we can get the optimum design of the FMCW radar operating in 9~11 GHz. It can offer the design of the FMCW radar which is low power and high resolution to consult. In addition, we also detect the characteristics of the diesel oil, the salad oil and water by using the FMCW microwave detector. Utilizing the principle of microwave's reflect and transmit propagating in the multiple mediums, we can efficaciously calculate and analysis the low dielectric constant of the liquid. It can offer the reference of the design and application in industrial manufacturing, transportation and environmental protection with using the detect radar.
