Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 93 === In this thesis, a single-chip 2.4 GHz RF transmitter is designed with the 0.18μm CMOS processfor wireless personal area network applications, which includes a balanced active low-pass filter, an IQ differential up mixer, and an output amplifier and transmit/receive switches. Starting from the active Gm-C low-pass filter, its circuit operation is discussed, and the circuit is designed in both frequency and time domains. Second, the Gilbert-cell topology is adopted as up-conversion mixer. The CMOS differential output amplifier is designed with the cascade structure. Two RF switches with high isolation are described. Finally, the single-chip transmitter, for satisfying WPAN application, is designed according to the gain link budget, output power link budget, and linearity requirement.
