Summary: | 博士 === 國立中正大學 === 機械工程所 === 93 === Gears are widely used in various systems for power transmission. Gear lubrication is the critical factor in improving efficiency, reduce friction and prolong gear life. Therefore, Understanding gear lubrication and scuffing mechanism is essential for the formulation of gear lubricants. This research is aimed to investigate the lubrication mechanism of various test conditions and thereby provide guidelines of the formulation of gear lubricant for these designs. The objective is to enhance tribological performance, lower friction, and increase the reliability of gears. In recent years, MoDTC additives, is a multi-grade additive with many aspects of potential applications. which the additive industry and tribological field have been actively invested in the R&D,
This paper is focusing on the study of tribological performance that generated by applying the MoDTC additive on the gear transmission, as well as to systematically evaluate the friction and scuffing performance. In this paper, the author designed a multifunctional bench test rig to evaluate the tribological performance under the mixed and boundary lubrication, the influencing parameters tested including the contacting load, rolling speed, side-roll ratio, roughness and temperatures. By using the Taguchi Method and the central composite designs method to plan the experimental design, and combining with the Grey Relational Analysis and Self-organized network to establish the mathematical fitting equation with the friction coefficient, contacting temperature, wear, scuffing critical load and scuffing critical temperature. Next, use the simulating annealing method and desirability function to proceed the simultaneous optimization technique with the multiple tribological performance, and to systematically establish the database of ideal parameter combination by aiming at the expecting mathematical fitting equations that the author established, as well as to verify the actual effect of this parameter combination with using experiment.
