Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 運動與休閒教育研究所 === 93 === The Study of Track Cardio-respiratory Recovery Index to Evaluate Cardiopulmonary Fitness of High School Male Students Lu Ying-hsien Abstract Cardio-respiratory Recovery Index (CRI) was an effective method of cardio- respiratory endurance evaluation, which is conducted through indoor electronic treadmill in a laboratory. This research aims to study the validity of CRI to test the cardio- respiratory endurance on high school male students in the field; meanwhile to compare CRI and reliability of 1600-meters running in different strength that in the different constant heart rate. There are 23 participants who are healthy male high school students (age: 17.09± 0.90 years; Height: 171.83± 5.31 cm; Weight: 63.30±7.16 Kg.). Each participant had to take Maximal Oxygen Uptake Test (VO2max), 1600-meters running with utmost efforts, and 1600-meters running at a fixed heartbeat rate with 90% and 80% HRmax (220-age)by random order. Each test had to be conducted with an interval of at least 24 hours. During 1600-meters different strength running, the running period time and the time that heart rate recovery to 120 bpm had to be recorded on the basis of a participant’s forecasted heart rate. There is no difference and significant correlation (r=.57~.71, p<.05) among the CRI utmost effort running(21.31±10.87), CRI90%HRmax (24.01±6.79) and CRI80%HRmax (22.41±6.03) . Those CRIs were correlated to VO2max (48.89±5.92) respectively at .50 (p<.05)、.61 (p<.05)、.23 (p>.05) and were correlated to the average speed of 1600-meters running (3.93±0.33 m/s) respectively at .48 (p<.05)、.64 (p<.05)、.73 (p<.05). In conclusion, CRI is indeed an effective evaluation to high school male students’ cardio- respiratory endurance. The 90% constant heart rate CRI can represent VO2max effectively and the 80% constant heart rate CRI can represent 1600-meters running with utmost efforts effectively.
