| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 93 === The purpose of this research is to examine the needs of adult student counseling and the factors that influence them; as well as to analyze the various needs of different types of students.
This research was based on a questionnaire dispersed to 800 adult junior college students, of which 656 were considered valid. The questionnaire was entitled “The Needs of Adult Student Counseling”. The statistical principles applied include descriptive statistics, paired t-test, one-way analysis of variance analysis.
Based on the research, the following points became clear:
1. Generally, all adult students need counseling.
2. Job counseling is the greatest need.
3. Female students require more counseling.
4. Older students also require more counseling.
5. Married students require more as well.
6. Adult students most often turn to family or friends for counseling, and they prefer personal counseling.
Applications for the results of the study and suggestions on the
implementation of career guidance in adult students and future research were also provided, but were omitted here.
