The results show that based on the first stage fuzzy Delphi’s method and questionnaire survey, the six factors, “production”, “marketing”, “sales”, “technical development”, “human resource”, and “procurement and corporate structure, and 23 criteria agreed by experts were selected for the second stage fuzzy FAHP survey, which then generated six factors, “manufacturing R&D capability”, “quality control capability”, “product commercialization capability”, “technical R&D capability”, “technical and R&D personnel cultivation capability”, and “characteristics of senior managers”. The results expect to provide reference to the future policy formulation and help the biotechnology of Taiwan developing and planning competitive strategies to maintain the competitiveness. 碩士 === 長榮大學 === 企業管理學系碩士班 === 93 === Abstract
The biotechnology industry in Taiwan is facing drastic development, and the technology itself has high “cross-field integration capability” and “scientific relativity”. The use of different competitive strategies to create advantages for successful operation is the direction for the future of the industry.
Therefore, this study intends to discuss the key success factors of the biotechnology industry in Taiwan. The research scope is the “Emerging Biotechnology Industries” announced by the Industrial Standard Bureau in 2001. Michael Porter (1985)’s concept of value chain is integrated to develop the perspective indices. The study adopted the analytical method of fuzzy Delphi’s method and FAHP, selected the survey subjects with judgment sampling, and analyzed the weight relationships between each perspective and the criteria.
Key Words: biotechnology, fuzzy Delphi, FAHP, key success factors
