The correlation between the aptitude of self-directed learning of employee and organizational learning should be examined by companies in process of the organizational learning, and an organization could sense the changes from environment and adapt accordingly. In this study we evaluate the factors that influence the aptitude of self-directed learning of employee and attempt to understand the connection between those factors and effects of the organizational learning. According to the questionnaire results, we also interpret the aptitude of self-directed learning of respondents and analyze the differences resulting from individual factors. Some of major findings follow. (1) The individual factors like job position, age, and education background have profound effects on the aptitude of self-directed learning of employee. (2) The knowledge management system and organizational learning culture play the critical role on the success of organizational learning. Even similar organizational actions and supports are provided by all companies, the system and culture differences might lead to unexpected outcomes. (3) The results of organizational learning lie on the keen motivation of employee for learning. The ambition of respondents has the determinant affects on the aptitude of self-directed learning and the efficiency of learning.
