The field components transverse to the radial direction were expressed in terms of azimuthal space harmonics after eliminating the radial field components. These transverse components for each space harmonic were found to satisfy a one-dimensional differential equation, which was solved using a finite-difference method. Numerical results, including echo widths and shielding effectivenesses, for some sample material parameters were computed and discussed.
