Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 中國文學所 === 93 === Abstract When Buddhism was spread to China, its theories crushed with the teachings of Confucianism and Taoism. Meanwhile, publications concerning about the three theories (Buddhism, Confucianism & Taoism) sprouted vigorously. Near the end of Ming dynasty, there were four Buddhist masters devoting themselves to teaching and popularizing Buddhism. Moreover, in order to catch up with the phenomenon of fusing the three theories and shorten the distance between the public, they taught Buddhism with Confucius’ and Taoistic ideas, which still aimed at popularizing Buddhism. Among the four maters, Hanshan-teching (1546~1623) is especially famous for his ideas of “three theories as one”. Hanshan’s theories are embedded in his book “Treatise of Lao Tzu & Chuang Tzu’s Influence”. In it, he proposed the idea, “Wei Hsin Shih Kuan”, as the principle in comprehending the other two theories. Through his book “Treatise of Lao Tzu & Chuang Tzu’s Influence” and analyses on the other theories, in this thesis, I try to discuss Hanshan’s intention and methods of fusing the three theories and the characteristics of his notions.
