With the increasing adoption of Linux system, many organizations use Linux for their servers. In order to ensure the system security, virus detection for Linux system is necessary.In this thesis, we detect viruses for Linux system using the codeword technique. The differences of system environments for Linux and Windows are rather significant. Thus we analyze the collected Linux viruses to extract virus features and integrating these features to detect Linux viruses.
