There were three goals in this study: to know the limitation of a researcher and seek for solutions for the realization of life education; to collect relative experiences and examine current theories to serve as reference for future educators; to provide a suitable model for promoting life education in junior high schools as well as realizing its meaning and functions at the school level. In this action research, the researcher’s intention to promote life education was first clarified, followed by a discussion of actual practices and feedbacks in carrying out the strategies of action research. Finally, the overall effect was evaluated, with a discussion of what was found in this study. The main frame was to observe the limitation and resources in promoting life education, and to realize the spirit of action research into the practice of current life education in Taiwan. In addition, empirical knowledge was provided to examine theories related to this field. Current educational system and curricula were also inspected to propose for an ideal model in promoting life education in our educational system. The conclusion of this study included the following three points. First, a researcher should transcend the traditional obsession with educational success and seek for further professional training in life education. Second, the realization of the spirit of action research on the practice of life education was confirmed. Third, in promoting life education at the junior high school level, we need to begin by establishing campus culture and planning for a systematic curriculum.
