Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔英科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系碩士班 === 93 === Electrochemical oxidation and stripping treatment of landfill leachate codisposed with incinerator ashes Abstract Landfill leachate was treated with three incinerator ashes, including bottom ash, fly ash, and reaction silo to investigate the feasibility of codisposal of leachate and ashes. Experimental results show that all ashes were effective for the removal of organic pollutants from landfill leachate; on the other hand, landfill leachate was also effective for the removal of salt and heavy metal from ashes. It indicates the codisposal of landfill leachate and incinerator ashes to be a feasible process. In this study, reaction silo was found to be the most effective for the treatment of landfill leachate. About 54.5% of TOC in landfill leachate was removed by the reaction silo as landfill leachate was codiposed with reaction silo with the12.5/1 leachate/ash ratio. Also, under such condition, pH of the landfill leachate could be raised to 12.3, which is suitable for the ammonia stripping treatment. Consequently, stripping treatment was conducted for the post treatment of landfill leachate, and about 80% ammonia in landfill leachate was removed by the combined ash codisposal and stripping processes. In addition to stripping process, electrochemical oxidation process was also conducted to the treatment of landfill leachate. The experimental results show that the landfill leachate after codisposal with incinerator ashes was more readily for electrochemical oxidation treatment. Therefore, it was concluded that the codisposal of landfill leachate and incinerator ashes was a good strategy for solving both the landfill leachate and ash treatment problems.
