At first, drawing the virtual model with CAD software Solid Works2004, then transferring the file to the software ADAMS to dynamic simulation. The simulations are divided into two parts, the first simulation is the disc enter DVD-ROM mechanism and the second simulation is DVD-ROM spindle motor starts to rotate with the speed in 6400rpm and 10200rpm to measure the disc vibration. The result will show that the DVD-ROM mechanism vibration needs a shock absorber or not, depend on the simulation result to adjust coefficient of the shock absorber. In this paper is just considered about the receiving force of every key part of the DVD-ROM mechanism and the vibration. From this research, it can improve technology development and design. The powerful calculation of computer applied design tools make the developing time get its greatest compression.
