It is necessary to need the many kinds of parameters of soil and rock for design and construction from the borehole logging in geotechnical engineering. Because the important borehole logging are usually neglected and no any standard code is used to control the operation procedure in Taiwan, it easily makes some poor situations such as different operators make the different results. Another, some software for analyzing borehole logging had been developed for a long time, and no newly version with database modules. Although the Geo2002 has been developed from Central Geological Survey and gINT has been issued from SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE GROUP, there are some disadvantages; for example, report forms are more different than normal reports of the business and those are not so comfortable for user. In order to solve the questions about borehole logging and business solution, this research is focused on the development of database management and layout system using the Visual Basic.NET and Access. The software is developed in Chinese, and has a simple and fast key-in by Windows XP/2003/2000. Another, because it is using the Access as database to save all-raw-data, the raw data is input only once, and many kinds of reports, such as experiment results, borehole logging charts and liquefaction potential maps, are able to be layout and print. Final, this research expects the software can become as a popular example in geotechnical engineering, and made the standard for borehole logging. Then it will be hopeful to improve the quality and increase the level of the borehole logging.
