The types of Taiwan businesses that are interested in Mainland China have switched from labor-intensive and process-oriented conventional industry to capital-intensive and domestic-oriented diversified industry. Fund acquisition is a crucial factor to the decision of Taiwan business; therefore, this study is dedicated to understanding the impact on financing through the integration of theory and practice in different industries and different business models for the reference of Taiwan business in arranging financing for investment in Mainland China now and in the future. This study is to discuss theoretically the financing channels of Taiwan business by going through the parent company in Taiwan, offshore company, and subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Mainland China with the interaction of banks in Taiwan, OBU in Taiwan, banks in Hong Kong, foreign banks, and banks in Mainland China. The advantages and disadvantages and financing content are discussed. The impact of different business models on industrial financing decision is understood by interviewing the business owner and senior finance manager of eight companies that are classified into three categories of business including conventional food industry, global business, and general small trading companies. Lastly, the financing methods of the eight companies are compared, analyzed, concluded, and summarized. The following points are made in this study: 1. Each financing is with pros and cons; therefore, it is crucial for Taiwan business to understand the impact of business operation on fund cost. 2. Conventional foods industry is with substantial pressure in fund raising in the mother country while trying to expand business operations in Mainland China. Global industry has great publicity and is has diversified channels of financing to choose from. The financing of trading business is mainly for the purpose of preliminary plant construction and equipment.
