Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 機械工程學系碩博士班 === 93 ===   This study aims at developing an interactive computer program that helps to analyze and optimize the performance of the nozzle for underwater jet propulsion. The program, firstly, based on the homogeneous bubbly flow model and the correctly expanded condition at nozzle outlet, calculates the speed of the fluid at the nozzle entrance, the entrance diameter of the submerged body, mass flow rate of the supply gas, relative diameter of the nozzle exit, exit Mach number, and the specific thrust. A two-fluid model can then be employed, as the choice of the users, to simulate the bubbly flow in the nozzle. Results from the computation are adapted to modify related parameters. All of the computational programs are integrated using Microsoft Visual Basic to facilitate the interface between the users and computer, The users do not need to memorize complex input format and, instead, can handle the input and output data very easily.
