Tyzen Hsiao, one of the pioneers of this tide. By combining the romantic classics from the Western and Taiwanese folks, he created a unique style. Once of his works, Orchestra 《1947 Overture》, describes the helplessness toward the colonial ruling in Taiwan, especially the Feb. 28 Incident in 1947. Two Choral Works of Orchestra 《1947 Overture》,〈Love and Hope〉and 〈Taiwan the Green〉 proved that Music brings not only for enjoyment but also the introspect of political, society, and culture by transforming poems of social criticism and pragmatism into lyrics.The concepts and skill of Tyzen Hsiao’s works will be mentioned later and the topics below will be illustrated also. 1.How Tyzen Hsiao rebuilt the historical dimness and tragedy on the stage. 2.How Tyzen Hsiao implements the atmosphere of that era through his music. 3.Review the Social Concepts behind Taiwanese Awareness and Patriotism. 4.The effects of Tyzen Hsiao’s works, culturally and socially.
