Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 建築研究所 === 93 === Architectures that change by time and by environment Abstract︰ In the field of architecture design, the thoughts of the designers have became more and more important nowadays. But however, the development of today’s architectural environment is now creating variable factors than ever. So many matters left to be deal with by us. This is a fast-changing world. And sometimes even great architects can’t see so far. That’s why I’m here discussing about ways to produce “flexible spaces which is able to make changes by time and conforms the environment” by chief codes or processes. Following are some works of mine in which this issue has been touched. Chapter 1 : What is the “Asian Architecture”? (A project I sent to the international competition of JA magazine “Asian Front Village”, 2004) A discussion about why an all-in-once design can hardly represent the character of Asian architecture. (If there is a character.) And a project of special function-programs alone with flexible spaces. The flowing of the visitors and the further use of the buildings are concerned in this project. Chapter 2 : Do Urban Designs by Codes and Flexibility. (A project of mine --“The inner streets, Kyoto,” 2003) Located in a crowded historical community, this project tried to reach 4 goals by making construction rules and adding a physical system of open space : 1.Create comfortable open spaces. 2.Increase the capacity of the area. 3. Preserve historical buildings. 4. Form a new style of the community. Chapter 3 : Making Changeable Roofs by Mechanical Elements. (A team project for the competition of ”金翌獎太陽光電應用建築設計競賽”, 2004) Chapter 4 : From Crazy Dreams to A Logical Process. (A Team work for the participation of the workshop in ”台灣地貿改造運動特展”, 2004.) A project deals with hard, unstable situations of floods and a arrangement of wild fantasies by logical process. Chapter 5 : Trying to Fit All Usages in One Building. (A team project for an international competition Sited in Barcelona, Spain, 2003) A project pursues the maximum flexibility of usage. Chapter 6 : A Forming Culture. (A team project of research for 2nd International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, 2005) A research project of ocean of Taiwan in which many architectural or cultural issues about Taiwan are concerned.
