碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 93 === Abstract The purposes of this study was to understand the influential factors of early retirement by principals from national general and vocational senior high schools through the following topics: 1)High school management 2)Current situation of the selecting procedure for the 　　　principals 3)Current plans of the retirement arrangement 4)Difference opinions of the principals from various 　　　　background The method of this study included depth interview and questions for principals from the national senior high schools. The conclusions of this study shown as follow: 1)Early retirement of principals were easily made by the 　　inadequacies of educational resources and empowerment in 　school management. 2)The feeling of not being respected from the principals 　　due the selective process that lacks of human concern. 3)The attitude of career plans from principals of various 　　background will determine the planning and the direction 　of early retirement. Therefore, suggestions were made according to literature review and the conclusion of this study to education authority, current and future principals and research, respectively.
