The research project employed an action research method to investigate the effects of students’cognitive achievement and awareness of learning environment. E-Learning web lessons, Web-based Assessment and Test Analysis system (WATA), briefing of PowerPoint file and talk-board were adopted as the information technology in this study. One class of 7th grade students was selected as the participants in this study. Some of these students don’t have the equipment for surfing the net at home. There are two teaching models in this study, one is “Learning together model”, and the other is “Group Investigation model”. Students’ were asked to cooperate with group members, and they monitored each other to accomplish their learning aim in “Learning together model”. Members of the group have to accomplish their assignment through data collection and presentation in “Group Investigation model”. The statistical results indicated that (a) student’s conceptual progress before and after the teaching reached the significant level. (b) Students’ awareness of learning environment before and after the teaching reached the significant level. The most difficult part in this study for researcher was designing living web lessons, so the opinion for future’s researches is enriching ability of using information technology.
