The purpose of this study is for understanding the life process of married women who have had childhood incest experience. For gathering the information I had in depth interviews with three married women. Through the study there are four major topics revealed. Topic 1, entitled: The helpless family. In the beginning of life, they realized the hopelessness of life, so they reluctantly accept the thought of ‘parents will never make any mistakes’, and learned to live through the lonely years of growing up, responded to their family member with an apathetical attitude, after all ‘my family hurts me so deeply’. Topic 2, entitled: wound that is hard to heal. Having a family that hurt they, they could not expect any protection from them, so they learned to quietly accept the ‘sexual abuse’. Yet with the memory of the past hurt, the voice of the condemnation from the one who hurt them deepen their self condemnation ‘I become a victim’. They can not trust anyone, so ‘learn how to deal with it’. Topic 3, entitled: a snare that can not get out of. Thinking about ‘why choose to become a prostitute ?’ The simple heart just wants to make more money, so the dream of being independent can be fulfilled. Yet this is a tough way to live, being physical and emotionally hurt over and over again, started to ‘lost oneself in the process of being a prostitute’. Trying so hard to find the true love, only to find ‘it is so hard to be in a relationship’. What they have lost in life, includes : the ability to come out of the circumstances, the ability to interact with others and the opportunities in life, and more sadly ‘the ability to love’. Topic 4, entitled : the turning point of having life changed. When they kept giving up themselves, even to the point of giving up their lives, they came across the opportunity of getting married. With marriage come more challenges and conflicts, ‘when facing crisis they feel like to divorce’. With the dream of having a wonderful marriage being broken, they come across the feeling of desperation again. Yet, a beam of light come through the cloud, they find faith in the turning point of life, with that ‘they find a new hope in religious faith’. Lin Shu Ling 林淑玲 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 207 zh-TW
