Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 環境政策研究所 === 93 === By actions of village administration systems and organizations such as community development associations, authorities of community development and administration systems influence the physical infrastructural development and transformation of a community. Space concepts of authorities-concerned constantly direct community space development and, consequently, turn into be the determinants of the change of living environment in community. It is an inter-dependent relationship between human beings and the environment. To dwell and settled implies the existence of this relationship. It can be interpreted that this relationship is the actual space construction of community development. This justifies that why it is inappropriate to ignore community residents’ concepts of common living space. When one settles down, he/she not only exists in space but also exposes himself/herself to certain environmental characteristics. Orientation and identification are called to be … It is thus a person can establish self-identify and knows his/her relationship with the place (Shi 1995). Not until a person feels belong to a place has his/her interactions with his/her daily living activities become meaningful. This case study adopts the research method of cognitive map (Lynch ) and applies it in a selected community-Chung Shing community in Lukuei. The five elements of Lynch’s cognitive map in city image, corridor, margin, zone, nod, and landmark, serve as bases of map analysis. By understanding residents’ environmental cognition towards their living space, this study examines weather living and space experiences of users influence users’ perspectives of living place.
