But, even to this day, how much do they still know their traditional culture ? This research is based on ethnic pictures. The researcher chooses PAIWAN because of its abundant picture culture, and chooses the Sun primary school (assumed name ) of the Sun Village (assumed name ) that still keeps thick culture as the research object. At the same time, he wants to investigate the cultural meaning and educational meaning of ethnic picture of the Sun Village, and sixth grade primary school students' cognition degree and sources of ethnic pictures. In order to reach the research purpose, this research chooses the way of interview. And the interview questions are sequenced according to the four procedures (describe , analyze , explain , judge ) of art criticism of Feldman , then, he encodes , analyses the materials afterwards . In the students' cognition of the ethnic picture, this research uses the iconographical interpretation three levels of scholar Panofsky to analyze. The results of the research find, in the aspect of picture meaning, the clansmen interprets ethnic pictures again with their religious belief, which is a phenomenon with era nature and influenced by foreign religions. In the students' cognition of ethnic pictures, eleven interviewers reach the first level in the three levels, and the second and the third level differentiates from every picture. But each student reaches the second level at least a picture. All in all, in the third level, according to the material , the sixth grade primary school students can’t response it because of the lack of the information, so the researcher suggests that this aspect should be guided by education or be searched when the children grow up. However, according to the deep investigation, the researcher finds that the way of succession changes with era. The aboriginal in Taiwan transmit their culture by the way of talking with mouth and ear. But from the data that the researcher collects, nowadays most Paiwan students learn their traditional culture from the course of school. And this should be a kind of change of culture, not being called a loss of culture.
