Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 營建工程所 === 93 === Abstract A course is generally considered to be the sequence, arrangement, and integration of learning. In other words, a course is all of the meaningful learning activities that are designed for students under the elaborate arrangement by school authorities or the direction given by teachers. The content of a course should include many aspects, such as the requirements for work, application on the specialized field, and the related working experience. Through the course learning, students can therefore find it useful. This research analyzes the relationship between the practice of the construction engineering and the courses of civil engineering given by universities. We put together a graph based on the property of each divided process in the construction work and also designed a set of questionnaire in hope to quantify the importance of each subdivision and in turn find the requirements for the civil engineers in dealing with their work problems. From both the comparison of the requirements in dealing with a civil engineering problem and the real construction work, and the relationship between the university courses on civil engineering and the divided construction work, one can draw some conclusions on which courses are beneficial in a practical construction work. We chose the curriculum of academic year in 2003 from the department of civil engineering of twelve universities in Taiwan, U.S.A., Japan, and Mainland China to furnish a sample for this study. According to its professional property of each course, statistics indicated that 48% of the courses concerning the construction engineering, management, and the structural engineering. From this result, it showed that schools place more importance on the construction engineering and management gradually. Structural related engineering, of course, still plays an important role in the courses of the department of civil engineering. It’s impossible to arrange all of the professional knowledge for students to study in the limited academic years of university. In addition, the industry presently gives undue emphasis to the construction engineering. For the above reasons, the research will discuss the practice of the construction engineering to offer students a reference The survey showed that the management of construction, bears the highest practice demand; meanwhile, quality control especially grips more industry’s attention among this subject. Both of the foundation engineering and structural engineering are received equal consideration. The finish of structures gives engineering is given the lower priority than any other subjects. Anyone who would like to take the courses concerning the engineering construction could refer to this research model.
