Besides, to cope with the change of the times, we cannot ignore the influence of the Internet Age on the education of the Computer Drafting course. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to understand the application mode that combines Web-based Instruction and Computer Graphic course, and to realize how to employ on-line information to strengthen the teaching tactic of the Computer Graphic course. This paper adopts the condition-surveying method, the approach of questionnaire, and the method of profound interview in order to probe into the teaching situation of the Computer Graphic course, Web-based Instruction condition, and related problems between them in Visual Communication Design Department. Meanwhile, this paper investigates the situation of Web teaching materials in Computer Graphic for the purpose of having a reference of Web-based Instruction. The conclusions of the research are inducted as follows, I. Teaching materials devised by Computer Graphic, Web-based course are less, so there is still a room for development. II. The teaching situation of the Computer Graphic course and related problems can be divided into four parts: 1. Problems met by students and teachers in Computer Graphic course 2. Contents that students require in Computer Graphic course and abilities that students lack 3. Opinions of teachers on the condition of exiting environment equipment in Computer Graphic and on teaching requirement 4. Goals, contents, and methods of teaching in Computer Graphic course III. Traditional teaching method used in Computer Graphic course, Web-based Instruction condition, and the related problems can be divided into two parts. 1. The differences between traditional teaching method used in Computer Graphic course and Web-based Instruction condition 2. The related key points of Computer Graphic that employs Web-based Instruction mode to proceed teaching IV. Teachers and students have a positive viewpoint of carrying out Web-based Instruction. Last of all, Computer Graphic course carried by Web-based Instruction and the suggestion of the follow-up research will be proposed, according to the research outcome.
