Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 特殊教育學系碩士班 === 93 === The study is to investigate the attitudes toward 「extension of school year」of parents and teachers of the graduating students with disabilities。Questionnaires are sent to 395 parents and 357 teachers of the graduating students of 85 elementary school of Kaohsiung city and semi-structured interview are used with 7 parents in this study。The results are as follows: 1、About 30% parents wish to extent school year for their children;more parents than teachers appreciate the amendments of the law relevant to the extension of school year。 2、The reasons of extension of school year of proponent parents include concerning their children’s academic performance, short of time of learning, and maladjustment of transition to junior high school。 3、The main opponent reason of extension of school year of opponent parents and teachers is children should learn with peers of the same age。 4、The opinions of professions from interview include: (1) Extension of school year is appropriated to some specific conditions but not for all students with disabilities; (2) Critical period is important for children; (3) Two months of absence of school is one of the important reasons for extension; (4) The extension of school year has little help for most children with disabilities。
