Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 教育心理與輔導學系碩士班 === 93 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among personality traits, social support, self-efficiency, and the importance, involvement and achievement of goals. Three-hundred and sixty-nine elementary school students were administered a questionnaire that included Life goal Inventory, Social support Inventory, Self-efficiency Inventory and Personality traits Inventory. The findings of the study include: (1) The elementary school students placed more emphasis on family relationship than did they on the acdamic, talent, and peer relationship goals; (2)Generally speaking, parents usually provided their children's support for achieving their goals; (3) the self-efficacy of achieving good family relationship is much higher than the self-efficiency for other goals; (4) The importance of a goal and the self-efficiency of achieving a goal could effectively predict students' involvement with the goal. The involvement with a goal and self-efficiency of achieving a goal could effectively predict the achievement of that goal; and (5) Specific personality trait can significantly predict students' involvement and achievement of a relevant goal. The implications of the results for the counseling of students are discussed.
