An action research on life education linking up with elementary school art and the field of humane learning.
The study aims to integrate the connotation and the spirit of life education with elementary art and humane courses in order to explore the development and practice of life education blending courses in the stage of elementary school. And we introduce action research in the teaching spot to proceed teaching. For this research, researcher proposes the goals of this study as followings:
(一)The plan of developing life education linking up with elementary school art and humane learning courses.
(二)To confer on the progress and the effect of life education combining with elementary school art and the field of humane learning.
Based on the purpose of research, this study conerns about the folloiwngs.
(一)How to proceed the courses of life education linking up with elementary school art and the field of humane learning?
(二) What is the status of life education combining with elementary school art and the field of humane learning? Is it effective?
In this study, we use analysis of documents and action research as the study methods. For analysis of documents, it falls into three parts, life education, art and humane learning field to be discussed in order to be the basis of the design of life education blending with art and humane courses. For achieving the goals of the research, the researcher selects the students in first, third and fifth grades in Shan-young elementary school as the research targets. Durng three months,March 2005 to May 2005, we went on the action research of life education linking up with elementary school art and humane learning field.
According to the analysis of the research result, we adress the significant conclusion of this research as followings:
一、For the aspect of life education combining with elementary school art and humane course design:
(一)The course design of life education blending with elementary school art and the field of humane learning should be planed according to the ability index of life education art, the filed of humane learning and the features of school development.
(二)The content of course design of life education linking up with art and humane learning should be from the starting point “life”. From close to far distance, it can touch the life of students. Students can obtain the meanings of life understanding from activities of art experiencing.
(三)The course design of life education combining with art and humane learning should contain both systematicness and continuity which are the development of logic. Also we should value the demand of students and experience integration.
(四)The course design of life education linking up with art and humane learning should provide students with diverse teaching activities, rising the learning motive of students and improving the learning effect.
(五)The ways of examination should be diverse. The events of examination must coordinate with teaching goals and ability index in order to present the progress and results of learning.
二、The aspect of life education blending with elementary school art and humane courses:
(一)Teaching students life education integrating with elementary school art and humane learning could appeal to diverse teaching activities. Students will demonstrate high learning interest and this can achieve the learning goals.
(二)The content of life education combining with elementary school art and humane courses is able to touch the soul of students. It will help students recognize the meaning of life and learning of art creativity.
(三)The teaching of life education blending with elementary school art and humane learning takes the modes of diverse ways of examination. The result of examination shows that students can accomplish the learning goal. This teaching also achieve the assumed goals.
According to analysis of the research result, we advise:
一、The aspect of course design and practice:
(一)We will blend the issues of life education with subjects and take the notion of life education into the goals of art and humane teaching.
(二)Course design will aim at the demand of students and real problems. And we will design diverse and living teaching material and emphasize on students’ ability to carry it out in the daily life.
(三)We will work with teachers for teaching ,develop better teaching material and provide students with overall learning.
二、For the future research:
(一)We suggest that the research should expand its practical range to study from different areas and conditions.(towns or geography condition). So we can understand life education linking up with elementary school art and humane course in the different conditions and ranges to know the diversity of students learning.
(二)We recommend that we should add teaching and observation time in the future research. And then we need to trace the effect on students about the course practice constantly.
