The main purpose of this analysis is to investigate the temperature distribution in the interior of a vehicle. The solar radiation effect participated for the entire flow field. The material and optical properties of the vehicle are also investigated. Obtaining the air flow and temperature distributions in the interior of a vehicle through CFD approach is plausible and relatively easy. The discrete ordinates (DO) radiation model is applied in the CFD code to simulate the inner-outer flow field when the solar radiation effect is considered. The numerical results show that the solar radiation can be simulated successfully using the DO model because the greenhouse effect inside the vehicle cabin can be clearly observed.
