Degree Conferred: Master Graduate Students: Shou-Rong Chung Adviser: Dr. Shi-Jer Lou Thesis abstract content: The purposes of this study were to investigate the learning achievement and learning satisfaction of multimedia computer assisted on experimental instruction with civil engineering. Revised Delphi and the questionnaire of learning satisfaction were the research tools. The subjects of this study were 78 students . The data was analyzed by statistics methods, including descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, canonical correlation and multiple regressions. The main results were as follow. 1. Analyzed from the results of conducting three times Modified Delphi investigation Chi Square (P>.05), none was statistically remarkable. Despite the results, the experts of the study all agreed that the 81 major substances of the civil engineering curriculum gained from the study could provide civil engineering construction curriculum of universities of science and technology as reference. 2. There was no obvious distinction between the pre-test and Post-test taken by the high score, middle score, and low score groups. The only difference was that the average grade of each group went up apparently, particularly the low score group improving the most. 3. Students’ learning achievement tests covered knowledge, comprehension, application, and analysis, etc. After the experimental instruction, as far as the dimensions of knowledge, comprehension, and analysis were concerned, there was an obvious distinction between the pre-test and Post-test . 4. As far as the Computer Interaction and teachers’ methods were concerned, there was no obvious difference between boys’ and girls’ feelings. 5. Students had a higher learning satisfaction for the dynamic images in Computer Interaction and the establishment of learning environment in teachers’ methods. 6. The result of path analysis analysis showed that the whole presentation of the software had a direct impact on students’ learning attitude, which was also indirectly influenced by students’ learning interest. In addition, the whole presentation of the software also directly affected students’ learning interest and teachers’ explanation of curriculum contents. As to students’ learning interest, it directly influenced their learning attitude. Moreover, students’ learning attitude also directly influenced their learning satisfaction. Of the relationship between the whole presentation of the software and students’ learning satisfaction, via students’ learning attitude, the former would have an indirect impact on the latter. According to the results, the suggestions were recommended to be the technological and vocational schools’ reference.
