Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 幼兒保育系碩士班 === 93 === The purposes of this study were to investigate the difference of Machiavellian (Mach) and Impression Management, Interpersonal Communication and Emotional Management of Interpersonal Deception Strategy (IDS) and peer relationship. Assess the model fit between empirically observed data and children interpersonal deception proposed by the author. The participants were 247 fifth and sixth grade students of elementary school, including 113 boys and 134 girls, form Chia Yi and Pingtung. The instruments used in this study included Mach Approach Scale, IPS Scale and Peer Relationship Scale. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were independent-samples t-test, independent-samples two-way ANOVA and structural equation modeling (SEM). According to this research results, the conclusions of this study are as follows: (a)There isn’t different in peer relationship between high Mach’s children and low. (b)The high more often use IDS than the low and the boys more often use IDS than the girls. (c)Mach could effect the use of IDS. In which, major interpersonal communication and the next are impression management and emotional management.(d)Interpersonal communication strategy caused negative influences. However impression management strategy caused postive influences, and emotional management strategy didn’t effect it. (e)Interpersonal communication and emotional management strategy mediated the effects of Mach on peer relationship. Moreover, principal interpersonal communication strategy. (f)The theoretical model fitted the data not well, either when overall or when internal structure model fit criteria was not always used. Finally, some suggestions for educational guidance and future research are proposed.
