A single-blind quasi-experimental design was used. There 150 senior high students were unrandomly, equally seperated as group A, offered auricular accupressure combined with Interactive Internet, group B, offered auricular accupressure only, and sham auricular accupressure control group. The improvement was measured by Short-Form McGill Pain Questonnaire, Verbal Multidimensional Scoring System, Visual Analog Scale for Pain, Menstrual Distress Questionnaire, and Adolescent Dysmenorrhea Self-Care Scale. The change of Reactive Oxygien Species was also evaluated. The data was analysed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test, chi-square, and ANOVA through the SPSS 12.0 window version. Nursing intervention lowered the intensity of pain and menstrual distress significantly(p<.05). The reoccurance of dysmenorrhea and menstrual distress was lowered more in the groups A and B as compared to the control group. Self-care ability in the group A was improved significantly. Nursing intervention changed ROS of all subjects. However, ROS in group B changed the most. The results of this study provide a rapid, effective way to solve dysmenorrhea and improve subjects’ self-care ability in health promotion.Through Interactive Internet provided subjects could increse knowledge and manage self-care about primary dysmenorrhea. Further research may study on dysmenorrheal females in different ages and different educational levels. Hong-Nerng Ho Professor Mei-Ling Yeh RN,PhD 何弘能 葉美玲 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 148 en_US
