The study was adopted questionnaire by elementary school Administrators in Miaoli county, analyzed about on the basis of documents, and according to the questionnaire “Elementary school administrators’ information literacy and school effectiveness in Miaoli County ”written by myself. The samples of this study were 474 administrators of elementary schools locating in the Miaoli county. The results were analyzed by means, standard deviations, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation Scheff′e method multiple stepwise regression analysis.
The results were as follows:
1.The current status of elementary school administration literacy and school effectiveness of Miaoli County was above average.
2.The elementary school administrators’information literacy of Miaoli County was noticeable differentiated by the different genders, working experience and degrees.
3.Significant difference was observed in the administrators’ information literacy of Miaoli County at schools of different sizes and locations.
4.There was no obvious difference in the elementary school effectiveness of Miaoli County with different genders, working experience, degree, duties and schools of different sizes.
5.The difference was also found in the elementary school effectiveness of Miaoli County at school of different locations.
6.There were positive correlation between the whole administrators’ information literacy and the school effectiveness of Miaoli County.
7. As far as elementary school administrators’ information literacy in Miaoli County was concerned, seniority could make the best prediction; On the other hand, the administrators’ information literacy could make prediction of the whole school effectiveness.
