First, the purpose of this study was to investigate the executions of the elementary schools about crisis management. Secondly, the study compared the opinions from different background variations about the school crisis management of elementary school educational staffs, and the last, based the research findings, this study discussed the predications between school pre-crisis management and school post-crisis management. To achieve the main purposes, a total of 115 elementary schools,1072 subjects were sampled from Hsinchu and Miaoli districts, and 771 subjects were surveyed. According to literature review, the“Questionnaire of the executions of the elementary schools about crisis management”was developed for research. The data from the questionnaire were statistically by the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation analysis, multiple stepwise regression analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1.The results showed that the elementary schools executed the school crisis management appropriately. 2. The elementary school educational staffs with diverse background variations show differences in their perceptions of current school crisis management. (1)The male educational staffs have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (2)The educational staffs who graduated from graduate school have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (3)The elders have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (4)The principles have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (5)The educational staffs who have had crisis management experiences have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (6)The educational staffs who have joined crisis management seminars have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. (7)The educational staffs who work for small-scale schools have higher perceptions of all stages and dimensions in school crisis management. 3.There was significant positive correlation between school pre-crisis management and school post-crisis management. 4. The predications between school pre-crisis management and school post-crisis management was well. According to the literature review and conclusions, recommendations for educational agencies, elementary schools, school staffs and future researchers are as follows. 1. For educational agencies (1)Integrate the related regulations in order to study and implement the executive emphasis of school crisis management. (2)Establish the evaluation system of school crisis management in order to grasp its current situation. (3)It will merge the important contents of school crisis management into the selecting and pre-service training of principles and chiefs in elementary schools. 2. For elementary schools (1)Implement the crisis handling plan and strengthen the crisis handling team. (2)Regularly organize crisis management seminars in order to promote the knowledge and skills on school crisis management. (3)Encourage the staffs participate in school crisis management and strengthen the communication network of crisis. (4)It will merge the core rationale of crisis management into class management in order to promote the effectiveness of school crisis management. (5)Strengthen the perceptions of surroundings outside school and the key crisis management. (6)Adopt strategic alliance in order to obtain helping hands from external resource groups. 3. For elementary school staffs (1)Participate in school crisis management seminars positively in order to promote professional knowledge and skills. (2)Promote participating and implementing the school crisis management plan positively.
