It plays a very important role in the progress of life. In recent years, though wisdom is gradually emphasized, few people do further research upon it nowadays. Therefore, if we want to explore the wisdom competence of junior and elementary school students, we always face the shortage of the related assessments. This essay evaluates a sample of students ranged from 4th grade to 8th grade (total N = 432) by using self-edited wisdom assessment. The following issues are investigated: (1) the students’ performance in wisdom (2) relations between students’ performance in wisdom and variables of related background (3) relations between the results of wisdom assessments and the questionnaires of the teachers. Finally, interviewing few students whose scores in wisdom assessment are below a standard deviation to mean for validity. The suggestions of this research are as follows: (1) the students perform well as their grades are higher. In 4th and 5th grade, the students’ performances in wisdom are similar as those of 6th and 7th grade. In 4th and 5th grade, 6th and 7th grade, 8th grade, of these three groups, students’ performances in wisdom are different and diverse. (2) Gender differences in wisdom performances of children are obvious. Girls are better than boys generally, but the differences of performances in wisdom are smaller as their grades are higher. (3) Under the conflict situations based on the benefits, students have the best performances when considering interpersonal benefits to extrapersonal interests. (4) The relations of the students’ scores between Social Science and Chinese subject are higher than that between Math and Science subject (5) the students with low wisdom performances have no idea when they encounter the dilemma and most of them can’t provide practical solutions. Bedsides, they have difficulties when getting along with people (6) this assessment helps educators to find out those students with potential problems when dealing with people.
