During non-reproductive season, treatment with estradiol (E2 1.5 µg/g BW) slightly increased the brain 5-HT contert;but during reproductive season, they were no regulatory effect on brain 5-HT content by E2. During non-reproductive season, treatment with LHRH analog, E2 increased brain 5-HT content. But during reproductive season, LHRH analog did not regulate brain 5-HT content. Besides the research on 5-HT content, we also cloned black porgy tyrosine hydroxylase gene. The homolog were 97% with gilthead seabream and 80% with European eel.
