Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 93 === In this study, a numerical harbor tranquility induced by irregular waves was integrated from pre-process of the division of component waves from wave spectrum, numerical regular waves harbor tranquility model, and the post-process of the calculation of irregular wave amplification factor. Such integration can simplify the process when running the irregular wave simulations of harbor tranquility. The model was also used to evaluate the wave period distribution inside a harbor. A partial opening square basin and a partial opening horizontal rectangular basin were employed in the investigations. The results show that tendency of wave period distribution inside a harbor can be varied. For the partial opening square basin, the periods lie between one and one-half of the incident wave period. For the partial opening horizontal rectangular basin, the wave period might be longer than the incident waves. Such evidence shows that the traditional method by using regular wave harbor tranquility simulation under the assumption of unchanged wave period should be revised.
